Premier Structural Concrete
Concrete
Foundation and Structural excellence
Concrete. It is a fundamental element of construction. From foundations, complete buildings, power plants, and medical centers, few projects take shape without it. J.B. Steel self-performs structural concrete work on some of the most technically challenging projects in our area. With decades of experience, J.B. Steel has built a solid reputation as the go-to contractor for exceptional concrete solutions

We make sure your project has the right foundation.
Footings Design Foundations
Footing design is the foundation style that involves the installation of spread footings under each of the columns of a steel building . The footings are installed just below the frost line, and the pilasters stretch to the bottom of each column. A continuous wall or beam connects the pilasters and footing around the perimeter of the building. Then concrete fills the space between the beams.
Slab on Grade Design Foundations
Also known as thickened edge design, a slab on grade design foundation is typically ideal for smaller steel buildings. The design is also economical for buildings that are in areas with lower frost levels.

Concrete Tilt Ups
Since our inception in 1970, Tilt-ups have been a big part of our success. As the only commercial contractor in Southern Oregon to employ the tilt-up method, we have the knowledge and experience you need for your next project.
Concrete tilt-up construction is the technique for casting concrete elements in a horizontal position at the job site and then lifting or “tilting” them with a crane to their final position in the structure. Tilt-up construction is an efficient method typically used for building retail centers, warehouses, distribution centers, call centers, manufacturing facilities, and other commercial or industrial structures with speed and construction cost benefits.
The advantage of tilt-up construction is that it allows us to build a wide range of commercial buildings more quickly and with lower construction costs than what is typical for traditional masonry construction projects. As a result, this also allows us to pass on this savings to our customers.
