Apprentices will be selected in order of their final ranking as jobs become available.

Applicants will be notified of their ranking in the pool of eligibles by mail. Those qualifying for the pool of eligibles will be given additional information regarding the apprenticeship program (related training information, selection and formal indenturing into the apprenticeship program).

Geographical Area:  The standards apply to the geographic area of Jackson, Josephine Counties, and Klamath, in the state of Oregon. 

Selection Method:  The selection of each apprentice is based on meeting the minimum qualifications and points received during their interview and from their application. All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and provide documentation. Apprentices are selected based on their ranking in the pool of eligible applicants. Individuals selected by this method will be notified by mail of their ranking. Individuals who are selected for apprenticeship will be referred to employers requesting apprentices. These individuals will be sent out in descending order from the ranked pool of eligibles. If an applicant fails to respond within 48 hours (two working days) for employment, the opportunity will go to the next person on the list.  Applicants in the ranked pool of eligibles will maintain their rankings for a period of two years. Applicants may be removed from the list at an earlier date by their own request or by a registered return receipt mail notice for failure to respond or accept employment a total of three times. Applicants may submit only one application during each enrollment period. The committee must exhaust their existing list of applicants prior to establishing any subsequent lists. We are a commercial contractor located in Medford, OR. We specialize in industrial and manufacturing structures.  We do big concrete. You’ll be successful if you can hustle, do layout, tie re-bar, and finish. The Foreman is responsible for reviewing and directing crew members at site installations in accordance with the company’s policy requirements as well as the customer’s specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in the commercial construction industry, understanding of the specific quality control issues inherent to construction sites, and knowledge in building facilities. The Foreman must be thorough and observant with an eye for detail. He/she must fully understand requirements and have a results-driven approach to achieving high quality.

  • Bolt and weld metal beams and columns together and ensure all are properly level
  • Use cranes and telehandlers to hoist and position metal components into place

  • Erect precast concrete components for metal structures

We are looking for talented, enthusiastic, and experienced individual. To be successful in this role, you will be able to plan, coordinate schedules and services, manage budgets, and ensure all work is performed skillfully, efficiently and within the timeline and estimate. You will need to bring your leadership, organizational, and management skills to the table.

You need to have 

  • Ability to demonstrate estimating / cost estimating experience
  • Strong experience with commercial estimating software, such as Timberline & Planswift is preferred
  • Experience with pre-construction: construction planning/design; application of construction methods; bid packages
  • Ability to interpret designs & drawings; prepare takeoffs; research & recommend resolutions to drawing conflicts or errors
  • Capability to assemble construction financial data; monitors costs; tracks costs for force accounts
  • Communication skills to correspond with owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, etc.
  • Ability to maintain as-built drawings and RFI logs

Your work day may include

  • Checking contract documents, RFI’s, specifications, etc. to ensure drawings are accurate
  • Assist fabricators with questions, as necessary.

You need to have

  • Experience and familiarity of Pre Engineered Metal Buildings
  • Excellent math, reading, writing, and communication skills with diverse audiences

Your workday might look like this

  • Provide direct support and assistance as requested to assigned Project Managers
  • Assist estimating, accounting and project management with various clerical tasks as requested
  • Perform Subcontract accounting tasks such as monthly payment applications & retention payment
  • Request, receive, log, verify,  and maintain current subcontractor insurance certificates

Detailers will design and detail stairs, guardrail, and miscellaneous metal products from structural and architectural drawings and specifications and following all applicable building codes. Shop drawings will be created using AutoCad. This is a position that requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and assist, to help complete projects in a timely fashion.

Your workday might look like this

  • Review structural and architectural drawings and specifications for conflicts/questions.
  • Miscellaneous steel detailing — stairs, ladders and railings
  • Structural steel detailing may also be required
  • Work with Project Management to create RFIs.
  • Checking contract documents, RFI’s, specifications, etc. to ensure drawings are accurate
  • Use AutoCAD to create shop drawings and erection plans.
  • Adhere to applicable building codes and company design standards.
  • Review and revise drawings based on engineering calculations, architect’s notes and instruction, and field conditions.
  • Assist fabricators with questions, as necessary.
  • Revise drawings as directed through accepted bulletins and contract changes Assist in the definition of contract bid packages and coordinate scopes of work

Your workday may look like this

  • Advocate for EHS, driving a strong and committed safety culture throughout the organization
  • Monitor and audit regulatory compliance and EHS processes at assigned construction locations
  • Perform frequent combined safety and environmental inspections and procedural audits in the field and have the skills, knowledge and ability to take immediate corrective action if required.
  • Lead and document accident/incident investigations to determine root cause, prevention and corrective measures
  • Execute programs to train employees in work site safety practices
  • Represent company in all safety related activities
  • Assist in developing safety related programs to exceed company safety standards
  • Conduct job hazard analysis for each phase of our work to ensure its safe completion
  • Maintain all OSHA related recordkeeping and reporting requirements

You need to have
